Jennifer Lawrence scored a nomination at the Golden Globes 2024, but the No Hard Feelings actress gave a stern warning if she lost.
Jennifer Lawrence stars in the comedy film No Hard Feelings, but she didn’t live up to the name at last night’s Golden Globes – as a joke. The Oscar-winning star received a nomination for Best Actress and had a few words to say if she failed to scoop the honor.

Watch Jennifer Lawrence warn she’ll ‘leave’ the Golden Globes
J-Law, 33, has provided the internet with countless hilarious award show gags, and she didn’t disappoint at the first 2024 film awards. Jennifer was one of six Hollywood stars nominated for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy thanks to her R-rated comedy No Hard Feelings.
As the nominees were being announced, the Hunger Games actress mouthed directly into the camera: “If I don’t win, I’m leaving!”
It was her pal, Emma Stone, who was announced as the winner moments later, but we’re happy to report Jennifer did not storm out of the Beverly Hilton hotel in anger. Instead, Lawrence was ecstatic for her Stone, who was recognized for her performance in Poor Things. Jennifer threw her hands in the air in celebration as Emma accepted the trophy, so there were no hard feelings.
Jennifer Lawrence and Emma Stone built their friendship over the same ‘stalker’
The celebrities have been besties for years, filming multiple joint interviews and catching up over dinner dates. During a 2018 interview for W Magazine, the actresses revealed how they first met over the “same stalker” called John the Orchestra Guy. Emma clarified the mystery man wasn’t actually a stalker, but likely an agent’s assistant who had many celebrity phone numbers.
Stone recalled: “He texted me and said, Hey, Alex – making up a name. I’m running late on my way to the sound stage. Can you warm up the orchestra for me? Make sure the orchestra’s warmed up for me. It was always about the orchestra. Can you text me back and let me know you get this? John.”
Jennifer and Emma had a text-based friendship for one year before meeting in person, and both stars were paranoid they were meeting John the Orchestra Guy instead.
“I’m driving over, and on the way over, I’m like, ‘Oh my God, what if this is John the Orchestra Guy? She thought when I was on the way over, Oh my God, what if this is John the Orchestra Guy? So then I called you and we were like…hello? That’s the first thing we had in common.”
What an A-list way to meet.
